Job Responsibilities

As a Manager, House and Commercial, you will not only perform cleaning duties but also assist the owners in overseeing and managing the cleaning staff. Your key responsibilities include:

Cleaning Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces to maintain cleanliness and order.

  • Sanitize and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and countertops.

  • Empty trash bins and replace liners promptly.

  • Perform deep cleaning assignments, including carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, and floor waxing.

  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment for specific surfaces, following safety protocols.

  • Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with essential supplies.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Assist owners in overseeing the cleaning staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.

  • Train and mentor new cleaning staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety, and customer service.

  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Create and adjust cleaning schedules to ensure all client needs are met.

  • Act as a point of contact between cleaners and company leadership, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth operations.

Maintenance and Reporting:

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor polishers.

  • Ensure tools are cleaned, stored properly, and in good working condition after each use.

  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or needed repairs to owners.

  • Replenish cleaning supplies and ensure staff have the necessary materials to complete their tasks.

Client Interaction:

  • Provide exceptional service by addressing client requests and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Maintain professionalism and a courteous attitude during interactions with clients.

  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

  • Follow company safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain awareness of OSHA safety standards and contribute to a zero-incident workplace.

  • Ensure cleaning staff adhere to safety protocols.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional cleaning.

  • Previous experience managing.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.

  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

  • Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and equipment usage.

  • Punctuality and reliability to adhere to scheduled shifts.

  • Reliable transportation and a cell phone.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
